Title: Morning Glory
Post by: irridium on August 06, 2011, 10:33:05
just bought a Morning Glory with individual dark purple and green leaves with a trail about 18" long. Do you think it'll flower at all this summer as I'd like to collect seed. Has anyone grown this before as I've never come across the foilage like this before?

It should still flower. It's an annual so you've been had otherwise!

I planted out Morning Glory in the same place as last year. In the past I've had a good show climbing over a trellis arch, but this year it just hasn't grown, the plants are still only about two inches bigger than when I planted them months ago  :-\

oh :-[ sorry to hear that, i hope mine doesn't have probs with it's growth. it's still alive and erm... not actually transplanted it out yet.. norty me ::) ::) ::) i'll report back when it's finally taken off, ok... have you fed yours? last yr, i grew an stripy variety (not v. nice look  imo) from seed in spring and it flowered onwards from about june time.. it did ok-ish but a lot better if had been grown in a bigger pot as mine was v. restricted in a hanging pot...
