Title: Is leylandii poisonous
Post by: manicscousers on July 30, 2011, 15:29:42
?
One of our water butts is underneath a 40' tree, all the bits have fallen into the overflow bin which isn't lidded. Can we still use the water or will it kill off the crops?
I 've heard they exude stuff into the ground to inhibit competition, advice very much appreciated  :)

It won't do any harm. Pick the bits out and burn them.

from the allotment point of view, very few plants are toxic to other plants, although that not true for animals!
