Title: Ladybirds
Post by: banksy on July 28, 2011, 13:52:51
Every year around this time there is a mass arrival of ladybirds.  We have a white house and it ends up covered with them.  I have no idea where they come from, but the sky is filled with them.  This will only last for a day or two, but it is an amazing sight whilst it lasts   :)

There are also lots of dragonflies, which I guess are eating the ladybirds?

Are they young ladybirds hatching? Or What?

BANKSY,  Do not know the answer, but we have hoards of them in the garden back & front.
When we go out they are landing all over me.
I have been playing silly beggers, i have picked quite a few up & put them on one of my dalias. ;D ;D.  Alas!!! to much time on my hands  ;D ;D ;D.

Hi rosebud, I was also thinking about 'capturing' a few to stick on the beans which 'did' have greenfly... but there only slugs and snails devouring them now so I don't think they would have been so effective...  ;D
