Title: Anybody know what this is?
Post by: wetandcold on July 25, 2011, 18:25:07
I found this very pretty flower in amongst my borders today and I have no idea what it is. I certainly didn't plant it there!

There is one stem with a small number of these flower heads on it. The stem is quite tough and covered in fairly robust hairs. The flowers are purple and about an inch long. The ends of each flower curl back on themselves. The whole plant is pretty small (12" long) and is growing along the ground.

I think it is lovely - I would just like to know what it is exactly!
