I have been wanting to try these for a long time and my 'male flowers' were in abundance today.
The recipe is very simple but to make them can be fiddly.
You have to cut the flower when it is perfect. Open it and stuff it with cream cheese ( the recipe of which is up to you but a basic cream cheese with garlic is simplest)
About a teaspoon full in the centre of each then batter and deep fry.
If any one wants details I can also supply a gluten free batter mix recipe and a lactose free filling. Let me know
