Title: Looking for Micro Tom
Post by: Jayb on July 12, 2011, 14:55:16
I wonder if anyone has a few Micro Tom (or Tina) seeds they could spare. I've loads of different tomato varieties I can swap in return, (including some saved Micro Gemma seeds, just fermenting now) or other veggie seeds if you prefer, just let me know.

I'm growing Micro Gemma this spring/summer and really pleased with them. I've just sown a couple more and I'd love to try/compare a couple of M. Toms alongside.

Thanks

Jayb I have some, and I need to send you the Hoy, Roll a Pea, and a couple of  other tinies. Our mail seems back to normal now so and I have a few things  to send over to folks so will pack tonight.

I am starting mine in the next few days too, we have 4 more days of rain starting tomorrow so time for housework and winter gardening starting.

XX Jeannine

Actually I should amend this and say our mail seems almost back to normal as I know I have stuff in the mail to me..

Super news guys,

Thank you Goodlife. I'd be happy with either, although seed may be less messy in the post. What can I interest you in return?

Hi brown thumb, the ones I've just sown are for winter cropping. I'm aiming at having these little tomatoes plants produce a few welcome treats during those long cold winter months  ;D I'll be bringing them indoors later on.

Jeannine, a star as ever, and if you have a spare Tina for me that makes me very happy. I didn't think I'd have a hope of finding these to be honest.
Glad your mail is back on track, You should have had some 'Tiniest' Toes seed from me? Can't think they can possibly be any later than this... I'll send more.

Hi Jay, actually you did me a favour.I thought I had Tina but when I looked I remembered I couldn't find it when I found the Gemma so it prompted me to look again which I intended to do anyway. So thank you for posting. A shared link took me to Utah State Uni and I got them there, should be here shortly,I also picked up a dwarf red pepper,I was glad as I was looking for one last year too, it is for low so should be good for pots in winter.

I think the only one from this series I don't have now is Micro Gold.

Don't send more seeds yet, We think there is still a backlog as  a few things I have been expecting are still in the process, and it seems the new mail is getting through first.

Did you plant your Canada Day spuds?

Good on you for tracking them down. I've not come across much info for Micro gold, hopefully you will be lucky your side of the pond.

Charlottes all went in for Canada day  ;D

Ok, I'll wait a little longer, I know the post can be a bit slow sometimes.
