Hello all
I have hardly any flowers on my tomatoes, Shirley, Gardeners Delight & a cherry tomato that I cant remember the name of.
Is this normal and shouldnt they be producing fruit? I sowed the seeds at the end of April.
Please help, this is the first time I have grown them.

It's been really strange weather here in wigan, cold at night. Ours are indoors and have really picked up in the last week :)
same hee in North Wales...only starting to get a few flowers...cold at night :(

I know what you mean about the weather, same in Atherton.
I have both indoor and out. The outdoor ones are a steak variety.
They have only just flowered.
I am dying to eat one, I had my very first corgettes yesterday and I'm still shocked at how different they taste from the shop bought ones.
I will carry on talking to my tomato plants and hope they produce soon. If you here a scream you know its only me. :)

Our indoor ones have just started ripening, golden sunrise and tigerella,marmande are on the way but we planted them inside in march.
Other people's outside ones on our site are only just starting to flower :)
Mine are outdoors and are fruiting - BUT - I sowed them early March! And they were actually planted out in May - so there is a 2 month difference in mine and your plants.... If they are outside, maybe they would benefit from a bit of fleece or plastic at night, taken off in the morning, if you have access every day.
Yes your probably right, there is plenty of time yet.

I have been eating toms from my greenhouse for a while.
Outdoors, the plants from seeds have not a lot of height, but are very thick stemed but have very few flowers.
Others, that were from sideshoots of the greenhouse plants are much more spinderly, but they have fruit on them.
