Post by: Mrs Ava on January 31, 2005, 23:07:42
A corner of my jungle!

Here is my pineapple that I am expecting to show signs of a fruit forming in the next couple of months.  (fingers and toes tightly crossed!)

This is my mama banana palm in the conservatory.  Have another 4 seperate plants planted up elsewhere.

And a couple of my amarylis that I inherited at Christmas time.  Have another 2 on the floor in bud.

Being nosey here - what's the plant in fron of your amarylis EJ?

Once again stunning pics. It must be wonderful to sit amongst all those plants. Must admit I'm a tad jealous.

Overwintering chillies Eileen.  I chopped them back and they have started bushing up nicely.

It is great having all the plants, altho it takes me over and hour to water them all!  The funniest thing is the kids use them as props, so quite often when I am tidying up at the end of the day I will find actionman and barbie snuggled up in one plant, a herd of tricerotops in another and a rubber insect collection will scare the life out of me huddling in another!

As I've said before, no need to visit 'open gardens'. = Tim

Those plants look really at home in there Emma, I wish I had that space to display my nana's I have had to cut off the leaves and leave them outside under the pergola. :'(
Nice pictures, love the pineapple. ;D
