Title: Rhubarb and grapes
Post by: Jeannine on July 11, 2011, 06:40:20
I have a grape vine on a corner , going two ways on an arbour, can I plant rhubarb underneath it, it goes about 6 feet in each direction accross the arbour whcih holds it high and  as I can't afford to waste the space underneath hope rhubarb will do..any ideas abouit the rhubarb being somewhat shaded as the season progresses.

My rhubarb grow very well between 2 greenhouses so it doesn't seem to mind the shade.

Thank you for the answers, I am not looking for an alternative to rhubarb, I just need to know if rhubarb will grow there.

It would get no top sun as the grape would act as an umbrella, I wonder of the rhubarb between the greenhouses did..could you tell me please?
