A diversionary tattic albeit a surprising one and Murdoch will fill the gap with the Scum or some other piece of tat.
This sort of stuff has been going on for years and I expect the other tabloids owners and editors will be crapping themselves..

As has been said, it`s just a tactic so that Murdoch can take over BskyB. Once he`s done that the News of the World will be ressurrected.

As a confirmed cynic, and with my fingers crossed behind my back, I hope that any enquiry brings ALL those responsible to book. I also hope that all the other papers are watching and learning how much the people are thoroughly disgusted. I doubt all this though...

I think the whole affair stinks from the News of the Screws to the Governments of the last god knows how many years, did this all start a couple of years ago 'Men's testicles' I say, long before the internet and phone tapping this Rag was digging up any kind of crap what the British public wanted to read on a Sunday morning, how often in the past have these two been in bed together because it makes you wonder when the PM of the day gives the ex Editor a bloody job, and how convenient to do dirty work for other polital parties, but what they have done now by listening in on calls from bereaved soldiers families to some young girl that was murdered and missing is a disgrace,
