Title: Brussel Sprouts - I am too late?
Post by: dave83 on June 29, 2011, 19:56:01
Hi all,

I was doing a bit of research on the net today, to see when to plant brussel sprouts and it appears that I may be too late (well for a Christmas horde anyway).

Would I be able to grow some inside and then transfer them to the outside (say early september'ish) ready for Christmas or have I completely missed the boat?

Also, does anyone have any idea on when would be the best time for growing veg for Christmas? I'm thinking of growing the following;

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Phew, looking at your list, I can only see turnips and carrots from seed, maybe you can buy in plants for broccoli and sprouts , think you're a bit late for parsnips. We may get a good autumn so maybe you could get small roots  ???
We have used this site before  :)
