can any one tell me the distance to plant raspberry canes as iam trying to plan out my fruit garden

About 45cm (18in) apart as they will grow new shoots from the bottom  :)

I agree 15"-18" apart is ample;

Agree with 18", and thats down the middle of a 4' wide bed. And leave wide paths on top of that! By the third year they will be trespassing on the adjoining beds.

oh thanks for the advice that's great now ill get some plans down on paper i was thinking of planting strawberry's up each side of the path until the  raspberry's take over the bed
