As they say it might be a bit cold. I am in nottingham btw
is the fore cast cold for to night it might b a good idea to do so( belt and braces comes to mind )if u live near and got fleece handy mine only went out to day i made a sort of fence round mine with fleece i live in cornwall so it should b milder only you wouldnt think so by to days temp needed the space in the green house
oh...I put mine out yesterday and haven't fleeced..am in the frozen NE of England..best check on them today then :(
I am still fleecing mine up at night. I was told that all that cucumber family like a temperature above 7C so I try and fleece if the forecast temperature is less than 10. and they also hate wind and I am on a very windy site. We seem to be having a number of cold nights for the season. It has nomally warmed up by now.
I do hope yours were OK.
Just come back from my plot in te pouring rain, as the weather forecast was 4 for tonight, covered over my squash, pumpkin and courgettes with fleece, dont know how much good it will do mind, but hey ho....
Fledged over the pumpkins.was rather wet though. Forgot to fleece over thr courgette n cucumber but they have been in for about 2 weeks now. It's going to be around 7 degrees tonight. Think.I might Bf worrying about nothing
Went to allotment at 7 this morning, @ the top of the allotment where its a bit of a frost pocket the beans and two cucumber plants seem to have had a very very light bit of frost on :(
I washed the frost of before the sun got to them. Do you think they will be ok?
Am really annoyed with our beans in any case, they are all really slow growing and the second lot i put in 3 weeks ago(still in green house) seem twice as big and not yellow like the ones outside (which are slowly growing)
