Title: Strawberries
Post by: Borlotti on June 03, 2011, 21:13:39
Strawberries have done well, never thought I would say I had too many strawberries, had some for breakfast, whilst watering at the allotment, some after dinner, gave more to next door and another neighbour, made jam.

I've had them coming out of my ears, my mate on the lottie asked when I was going to start picking them,  then I told him I'd taken home 3 punnets already, thats without the ones I eat as I go along.   ;D :P

I have lots of green ones and feed them with high potash feed, but no strawbs to eat as yet. :(
Still we have lots of time before they get had by the frosts. Wishful thinking on my part.

I have more strawberries this year than ever before -lovely! I put it down to replanting in fresh compost and copious watering.
