Would I stand any chance if I started some now?

I'm hoping so too.  All my previous attempts died after germination.   :'(  I'm going to try once more in some different compost.

Ok, then I am going for it.. thanks to a lovely A4Aer with a Canadian relative on holiday in the UK I managed to order and receive seeds brought back to Canada for club resistant brassicas.. so am quite keen to get them going, it was just the brusselss I was worried about.

The club root is very bad here so fingers crossed I may be OK.

Jeannine..if  you start your brussels now..should they not quite make it to Christmas..you just get your crop little later on in spring.. ;) But I reckon there is still time for Cristmas crop providing winter doesn't start too early.
