Title: blueberry feed

Hi a quick question on erecaceous feed have found they are labelled up for plants rhododendrons etc my question is are they safe for edible plants too ,wondered if any of you have used with out any trouble thanks for any info ...n8r

I use erecaceous compost for my blueberries and it is labelled up for rhododendrons, it doesn't seem a problem so the feed should be OK

You can use rhodocendron fertilizer for blueberries..but..you have to use smaller quantity and water it in well.
Blueberry bushes are shallow rooted and they scorch easily with fertilizers.
Ideally you would water the plants first..mulch and if using 'dry' fertilizer, sprinkle it on top of the mulch..nutrients will find they way to the soil slowly but without damaging the roots... ;)

I use an organic seaweed feed on my blueberries & they are thriving, thats all Ive used for 4 years & they are in pots in their original compost ;)
