May be birds - pigeons love brassicas

Pigeons is my guess. They love young plants. Net, net and more net. Once the plants are bigger it will be cabbage white butterflies that will cause the problems. They will lay groups of yellow eggs on the underside of the leaves.

Have learned to my cost pigeons love Brussel sprouts, went to the plot yesterday to find them having a party and all I'm left with is a few rows of stalks, they also seem partial to kale  :'(

Luckily, due to enthusiastic seed sowing in modules I've still got some plants left over and have just been to wilcos for some netting  :)

Kale is the one thing that the bastard Wood pigeons leave alone on my plot - every other brassica gets mullered.
