Yes I hope they do well and write wonderful answers. Because I'm one of the hoard who marks them over the summer.

Do try and persuade 'em not to leave empty spaces, waffle can earn a mark or two, and should their memory fail a little and the urge to sketch comes upon them, then they'll need to do better than a beautifully drawn two fingered salute I saw once in the middle of an exam script.

PG have you read '1066 and All That'. One of OH favourite books. He's read it several times & still finds it very funny. I think we have a few markers on A4A.

Yes I've got the book '1066 and All That' and plus their 'And Now All This' plus their gardening parody 'Gardening Rubbish'. So yes I am a Sellar and Yeatman fan! I only wish that I see some exam answers as witty as their writing.

I have one son doing AS and one son doing A2 so lots of sympathy to anyone doing exams at the moment.  I have also been an invigilator so have seen some "interesting" scripts in the process and also some empty ones!  Bless them I always feel for their stress!

The last year for school exams in our house! :D Third one doing A-levels. Good luck to them all- and to the parents who have to cope with the mood swings!
