Took the plunge and bought some more dahlias and got 2 lots of these

I am planting them in the same place at the other plants so any tips to stop me losing them again?
I am not convinced there past the frosts but you you think i am safe to pop into final planting position?
It says to
"Deadhead faded dahlia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. With the first autumn frosts, remove tubers from their growing positions and trim away the old stems to 5cm above the tuber. Clean any remaining soil from the tubers and store them over winter in trays of peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position."
If i did this and popped them into my garage would that be ok?

Hi
I planted out my dahlias this week but yes keep an eye out for frosts.
In the winter you umust store them in a frost free place. We have used the loft or kitchen cupboards. But it really depends on how severe the frosts are.
So i would take a few cuttings so that you have multiple tubers to store and increase your chances.
Good luck with them
