would it be possible to keep this planted in a large pot?

Ummm..yes..but..
It is quite leafy plant and propably would require lot of water to keep it looking good in pot. I think you may get away with it for couple of years at least. But do use some soil based compost as multipurpose is not adequate for it.. ;)

Sorry should have said that it will be sited next to my compost dalek & on soil. No problems with watering only the neighbours ! ::)

Ahh...in soil is no problem..but they do grow rather large...have you got something for it to climb on?..or you'll be soon looking for your dalek after its disappeared from site (buried).. ;D

Yes I need it to cover my shed & a fence & with luck it will make the neighbours dissappear  ;) ;)
