Watch this space
Who knows what will happen now!!! I agree with Poppy Mole there will always someone willing to fill his shoes!!!

June
buried at sea..........? That doesn't sound like a proper Muslim burial
Maybe there are plenty of sharks in that part of the sea,
Anyway he has had a burial ,its more than some of the victims of Sept 11th had,
June.
The faith does have provisions for burial at sea but only under certain conditions.
I think it's more to do with having no grave or marker for the fundies to associate with him.
more like a Hindu thing. But our opinion isn't important
keep believing the propaganda, folks, it gives 'them' the power over us!!
Donald Trump has demanded sight of the long form death certificate.

I understand they finally caught him after the CIA hacked into his Playstation account
So the World's best Hide-and-Seek champion gets dropped into the sea and we're all supposed to think that's the last of him........?
Latest news out of Islamabad says the compound was filled with crates of swimming trunks, snorkels and beach-towels.... Turns out OBL's been on a sixteen-week refresher course on long distance swimming.....
Uh oh......
I expect there are loads of muslims baying for blood at the doors of the US embassies around the world.
No doubt there'll be revenge attacks on the USA and us, so be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Anti-terrorist hotline is 0800 789321
This is borrowed from elsewhere but I rather liked it.
Celebrations over the death of one evil man; but let us remember the countless civilians that have died in the hunt for revenge, the billions upon billions of dollars spent, and the level of animosity and hatred we now have created in the world. There is nothing to celebrate today, but rather another day to mourn and to work even harder to build peace and justice in this world.
Here here Ollie!
It's been on the news for the last 12 hours, the more they mention him the more his followers will revel in his death will want to avenge him, he's dead great but I would like to hear more on the life and times of our enry. :(
Despicable though the man may have been.
I found it sickening that there were so many celebrating the death.
Others died too.
Death is nothing to be celebrated. It is sad that any human can become so corrupted that they find that a person's killing, correct.
Bin Laden thought killing was correct for his cause.
He was wrong
If we find HIS killing to be correct we are the same as him. Wrong.
My condolences to those who cared about him and the other victims are as sincere as my condolences for the victims of his crimes.
Hate breeds hate. It is as evil as any cancer.
Certainly, his death and burial at sea are probably necessary evils. BUT nothing to celebrate.
We, as humans should not have bred such people. We, as humas have gone wrong.
We can do better.

Same here I heard a little bit on 'talk sport' this morning but not much on the telly, Henry was good value, several years ago I went in the 'Thomas A Becket' pub on the Old Kent Road just to get the feel of the place and that Henry had walked through those same doors,
didnt think they would take the bins out on a bankholiday ;D ;D ;D

What a load of absoloute self indulgent clap trap. Bin Laden was a figure head of an absolute atrocity that affected many peoples lives. To behave holier than thou and deny those people solace is a political correct monotribe.
didnt think they would take the bins out on a bankholiday
LOL!
Sadly I think this is just going to be an excuse for more violence, on both sides. And Tonybloke I fear some of the conspiracy theories in your links are correct, he has probably been dead awhile and is being wheeled out in order to bury some bad news.
Getting rid of Bin Laden does not mean the end of terrorism.I think that he will be looked on as a martyr.
Its good that he has gone but I don't think that I feel like celebrating the fact.
The way that some of the Americans are acting is just going to make things worse for not only them but everyone else who has ever opposed terrorism
I do so agree PH.
You are spot on there.
Evil breeds evil. Yet there are those who are so blind........... they can not see.

Yes PH, I share your sentiments.
As per my first post on this subject I made no comment about the death only that it had occurred. Since I believe it it not right to celebrate the death of even someone who had such blood on his hands as Osama bin Laden.
Though believe the following phase fits the death of this person.
"He who lives by the sword dies by the sword."
I for one am glad he is dead, and don't forget ground zero, the families of the dead will not.

Its easy to be self righteous when not personally affected.

,how can anyone not feel relief, is beyond me,

Then let me explain it. He hasn't had any operational involvement for the last 10 years so whilst his death might make some feel better, it will do nothing to help reduce the terrorist threat. In fact the world is a more dangerous place as his nut job followers have something to rally them, and the sight of crowds in the US gathering to celebrate any killing makes me feel sick.
Then let me explain it. He hasn't had any operational involvement for the last 10 years .
I think given the amount material recover from site of the incident I think that might have been wishful think of some analyst. Since several mafia bosses have controlled there organization for years with just paper notes.
Please don't kid yourself about his roll.
I have no wish to comment anymore on this.just glad he has gone.
June.
We will recover from this, pledge fearmongers
03-05-11
THE death of Osama Bin Laden is a temporary glitch, purveyors of top quality fear have insisted.
The world's leading fright-mongers said the Tom Clancy death of the world's craziest scary-bogey man would focus the industry on developing a new state-of-the-art nightmare, probably with giant, razor-sharp tusks and eyes the colour of Satan's droppings.
Tom Logan, booga-booga-booga analyst at Donnelly-McPartlin, said the US government's decision to ethnically cleanse the underside of the Western world's bed was a surprise change of tactics.
He added: "If America keeps making the monsters go away like this then eventually someone might start to ask why they still need so many anti-monster guns.
"And at that point the house of cards begins to look a tad shaky.
"If they have even a modicum of intelligence the fear industry will already be plotting to kill President Obama and his gay friends as well as concocting an army of phantom psychopaths to blame it on."
In a press release, reprinted without question by every newspaper in the world, Sir Denys Finch-Hatton, chairman of British Anxiety, said: "Any fool knows that the death of Bin Laden will create a million new Bin Ladens.
"And the death of the each of those Bin Ladens will create a million new Bin Ladens until there are so many Bin Ladens that either you or your next door neighbour will be a Bin Laden.
"And you and I both know that you're not a Bin Laden because you're just a decent, hard working family trying to make ends meet in a terrifyingly violent world teeming with paedophiles, job losses and the convenience of 24-hour internet shopping. Not like that dodgy f**k*r next door."
Meanwhile, the utterly perfect death of Bin Laden has also led to renewed calls for a cut in education budgets with media companies warning that without crazy scary-bogey men everyone will need to be dense enough to think that celebrities are interesting.
i think we should have a public holiday in celebration.
We're all going on Osama Holiday, no more worries for a week or two.....
PH - SO glad that you put that in writing.

well in his obituary today it says he considered giving up terrorism and becoming a farmer.... so there's a lesson for us all there.
it also says he was turned on to terrorism by "a charismatic gym teacher" which confirms my suspicions that all gym teacher are actually the Spawn of Beezlebub
I cant help feeling suspicious about whether the Americans really killed him etc. It all just seems too neat & tidy. Why didnt anyone from other countries get to see the body? The burial at sea is pretty handy for making it really hard to prove who the body belonged to. I tend to think going public about his death even if it is true will just stir up aload of reprisal terrorist acts :-\
Cant help feeling the USA need some new terrorist disasters to justify still being at war etc. etc.
I just dont trust BIg Brother Im afraid

Ah! But you don't understand.... This is what victory looks like!
Brown men with cameras are to be feared in this brave New World. (Order.)
So are babies with liquids, nuns with bad habits, small terror-children that just happen to be found, after a quick feel-up in all the important places, to be white and innocent, bearded men wearing underpants, Japanese printers, and Al Queda's Navy Fleet that is just waiting to put to sea just as soon as they've worn down our bomb-making facilities here at home.
Ooooh! Protesters too!
Any kind, so long as they are not protesting policemen... Which is a bit obvious really as it would be pointless the police beating themselves up for peacefully protesting like they do to others...
Anyway.... So glad we won... Now just excuse my while I take my shoes off to travel, smile into the retina machine, give samples of blood, snot and a variety of other bodily fluids, clippings and scrapings....
Bah Humbug! War on terror my pink, Welsh, ar**....
Well, as we have heard a son of Bin Laden was also killed -so it's just perverse that I can think of a father and son who have been responsible for far more destruction and death in the middle east (long before BL came on the scene) and walk about today as free men. And all the suffering they cause(d) was really all for nothing.
There's lots of us! The word is spreading! ;D
I agree with PH. I can only think this is going to get worse, not better.
Y'know, I do dislike racism.
And hatred of Americans comes into that category, like it or not.

What on earth do the Indigenous peoples of the American Continent have to do with this?
surely if he wasn't really dead he would have popped up on a video by now to inform us?
considering his wife who was there even says he is dead. As for the pictures the goverment people in UK have seen them.
I haven't got into this one, I am a pacifist so avoid these type of posts usually but came into the post to say that here we get all the US TV stations and there has been a US documentary in the past couple of days about the incident showing actual footage.
