I'd love to come but on the Alpine Society annual bus trip!
hope weather good for you-and us!
I've been pricking out for it all day... :)
would love to but i am spending the weekend in Kent with my parents :) Have a wonderful time.
It'd be worth it just to see that shed Deb - but it's a bit far for me. Have a good day.
Sorry, not this year, we've another sale this weekend so I'm going away next weekend for a couple of days before I kill someone ;D
i'd like to, but as I don't drive, I'd have to come by bus. is this convenient from Derby town centre. I don't know if you know your buses from there, but if there's a plant sale that'll help me to expand my produce on my lotti as well. just found out today, that my rhubarb crown is dead (only bought in Feb) :( :( i'd love to visit other ppl's lottis, you can share so much with one another and find new varieties of plants that you can buy cheaply too... the one I have at my own site isn't till June I think..and I can't wait for that, when yours is more imminent! ;D
Good luck with your plant sale Deb, hope it goes really well for you and that the weather stays fine.
Hope the weather stays fine for you all. I will be busy getting all the stuff sorted for the bric a brac stand for Walsall Rds do thats coming up.
Will try to get this year if only to see Saddad pricking out... ;D
Bump... if you aren't doing anything on Sunday... :)
Sorry wrong weekend for me was in your area last weekend.
Anybody else... :-*
Hello, will anyone be selling cherokee trail of tears plants? Somebody on here very kindly sent me some seeds but I did not store them properly: they went a bit off and haven't germinated but I would still like to give them a go. I am in Loughborough so not too far from you. Will we be able to have a walk round the site if we promise to keep to the paths and have no children or pets?
I've visited once before, it is a big site and quite posh too IIRC.
I've got a few Trail of Tears left over if you need some. the ones I planted are up, so they're OK. The only dud I've had this year was Lazy Wife, but I've got plenty of others I can plant as replacements.
I haven't sown mine yet... but we have plenty of TOT seed...
It's not an NGS day so I think they will rope off parts to stop people doing site tours.... but I have a plot right by the entrance and will take you round if you want!
;D
I know that we need all the rain we can get but I do hope that it stays off long enough for your plant sale
Thank you both, I have emailed Robert.
Still thinking of going to the PlantFest tomorrow though........
Always welcome... :)

I'll get the seeds in the post on Monday. It's the same batch I just planted so you shouldn't have any problems.
Last plug for our plant sale tomorrow, it will be mostly indoors so you won't get wet! There are an awful lot of heritage tomato plants in there...... :o I was supposed to be good and not spend much, but then Saddad put his out and there were a few I hadn't tried before.......ho hum! :-\ ::) ;D
The summer bedding looks fantastic, quite a few hanging baskets etc. See anyone who is going tomorrow! ;D
Good Luck Deb, hope it all goes well.
How did it go?
Well, we ended up having to open early as there was a big queue of people outside! My takings on the tomato stand was around £160 odd, and that was selling most plants for 50p so i thought that was pretty good. The bedding and veg went really well, total takings after expenses (we bought some plug plants and grew them on this year) was around £835, so very pleasing! The rain held off too! ;D ;D ;D
£835 is brilliant, I'll be happy if we take half of that at ours on Saturday!
Well done Debs and anyone else involved. ;D ;D ;D
Well done. That's a lot of tomatoes ;D. Were you sorry to see them go?
So pleased that it all went well for you.
Brilliant, I'm glad the day wasn't as rainy as that one year we all sheltered in the tea tent..well done, all ;D

It was like giving away babies....... ;D The one Blaby Special I had I made sure it went to someone who appreciated it!
well done all on the hard work and money raised, very inspiring!
