Title: Thicko question about covering polytunnel
Post by: Squash64 on April 26, 2011, 16:50:48
This was my polytunnel in 2008,

[attachment=1]

All the cover has since disintegrated but the frame is still quite strong.

I was thinking of covering it with this -

But how do I attach the covering to the frame? ???

Or would it be better to cover it with debris netting?

I want to grow tomatoes in it as I've already run out of room in the greenhouses.

If you covered it with debri netting it would look something like this. It would keep out a certain amount of frost as well.

That looks really good AR.  What are you going to be growing in it?

Squash,
              Just have a look at one of the Polytunnel manufacturers web sites they have a DVD which you can view or have a look on You Tube, it will show you how to erect and cover a Polytunnel, It is a two person job but straight forward and better done on a calm day, :)

If it's a 3m or a 4.5 you can get spare covers here: http://www.selections.com/GF6496/polytunnel-4-5m-x-1-9m/ (http://www.selections.com/GF6496/polytunnel-4-5m-x-1-9m/)
