Title: Quadgrow/Octogrow - any experiences?
Post by: Stedic on April 02, 2011, 04:37:43
I've been thinking about getting a couple of Quadgrow self watering things for growing tomatoes both at homeand on the plot. Commitments sometimes make watering tricky so they'd be handy....if they work!

Has anyone got any experience of these?  Ideally I'd like to find a polythene cover for them as my greenhouse has well and truly kicked the bucket!  Unless I can convince the boss to let me get a more permanent mini-greenhouse for seedlings and Toms.

Sorry, likewise I have no experience, but I've often thought about a self-watering system.

There's a few offers and discount codes (can't remember where I saw them) so they'd not be as expensive as they seem on the website....but I also see lots of other versions around.  I'm wondering about experimenting with some of the totmato plants this year.....

Hi There

I got a Quadgrow last April and I love it. It kept my beans fed and watered all last year, mine's linked to a water butt and we went away for 2 weeks in July and the plants were in great health when we got back. The less said about the toms in growbags the better  :'(
Mine's a square one and it's on my patio, so that's fine, but I imagine it would be a bit of a pain in a greenhouse (how would you pick the stuff at the back?) but they now do a long one. I'm going to ask the fella for the long one for my birthday and get the toms in there. I'll see if I can dig out some photos...
