Sewing has begun :)
Well today I had my sweet potato and potato planters from thompson and morgan so the spuds are chitting and the sweet potatoes will be posted around may this means next week i can nip out and fill the bags with free compost take them back to the house spill out some of the soil from the 3 potato planters for using later and plant up the 2 sweet potato planters with something quick growing like salads or carrots.
peas and beans are sown :) Hoping they can germinate
will sow pumpkins and squashes later
Very Very Excited :)
You sound it ;D
I've started the melons in the propagator, plus some courgettes, special peas going in at the weekend, corn and beans in a couple of weeks :)
Cambourne, you sound just like my sister as she is realy excited at growing her own stuff in the back garden this year. She now has a raised bed which I built for her.
Best of luck growing!
Manicscousers, First of my melons was up yesterday in a propagator in an unheated GH (chitted indoors first!). Would be interested to see how you get on as I have been told melons are difficult

a mixxed scallop squash :)
Wouldn't it be good if you could grow all of them.
I'd go with Black Futsu
I had it in my hand but am thinking i might keep that and the japanese dumpling back as 2nd wave if the 1st lot fail to germinate
pot, bag and airing cupboard has never failed me but now my Mrs had banned me from putting pots of mud in with the clean linen so I am not sure what I will do this year.

we managed to grow some last year in the poly, cantaloupe and something sweet?. did too many by hand pollinating, I'll limit them this year, they were very nice, though small ;D
I have lots of seed left over from a friend on here so I'm seeing if they sprout ;D
Good to hear and encouragement for me :)
3 out of 4 melon seeds up ;D
Right i have sown all my Pumpkins, Squash, Courgette seeds and planted one of the 4 apple trees in its final position 3 more to go :)
Have cleaned out more trays and fingers crossed friday I can get my pot bound tree lilies, final climbing rose, 3 fruit trees and more seeds sown :)
Contemplating sowing Peas and Beans right into the soil and the weather has warmed up and the soil seams ready... Might do that and sow a 2nd lot for planting in a few weeks if they fail....
decisions .... decisions
