Good question I seem to remember someone telling me water cress wasn't very easy to grow, so I have bought some American land cress instead as it said delicious peppery flavour good alternative to water cress so I'm :) going to give it a go this time

It's a piece of cake. I started some off from the market over a year ago & it's overwintered fine. Just put it in a pot of compost & overwater every day (perfect for kids!). It doesn't like stagnant water though.

I got my seeds from T&M (sorry, but it was in the Wyevale sale). I grew them in a container without drainage holes so they would stay sodden. I had a marvellous crop, so tasty, I've already sown this year's. Go for it.

Watercress is indeed easy to grow, provided you keep it damp. I have it seeding all over my plot and is best in the Autumn.
