Title: Begonias/Dahlias
Post by: Poppy Mole on March 12, 2011, 19:21:51
I dug up my dahlias & trailing begonias in the autumn & put them away for the winter, but how & when do I try to resurrect them?

HI, I put my pots or baskets on there sides from end of september and leave it die back till the end of octorber in in shed during the night, but outside if it is nice. I then dig out the tubers of the Begonias and store in dry sand, in a cool place and away from the frost , and I repotted these a month ago and they are all up but wont go out till the middle of april, but watch for any  frost. Dalias I store these by cutting back the plant to just abovr the soil, and store in a cool dry place out of the frost, have not watered  orstarted to wake them yet will do this at the end of march. But thats the way i do it hope it helps :) :)
