Title: Greenhouse
Post by: JoeCocker on March 07, 2011, 18:50:17
I've transfered my tomato and chili seedlings to the greenhouse last night. Its unheated but they were starting to get a little leggy indoors. I've formed an internal enclosure of kingspan walls with a plastic double glazed lid. we're going a way for a week so i can't maintain a parafin heater. Any comments /suggestion.

(I've planted some back ups just in case!)

Don,t know the long range forcast and you have not said how long away a small plastic green house  inside your G/H put plants on a fleecy blanket  or polystyrene board and a fleecy blanket over it, but not sure how you are going to them watered ;D ;D ;D

I've placed the plants on capillary matting, so hopefully that will help with watering, only away for 6 days

I also have tomato and chilli plants that I wanted to take to the greenhouse - but after the frost on Monday morning I've decided to keep my babies in my kitchen!  ;D

My DH thinks I'm insane!  My tumble-dryer (not in use) is now a counter FULL of little seedling pots and my windowsill is covered too!  Hopefully this horrid weather will decide it's spring and start warming up.
