i posted it do to the fact some posters seem to constantly have trouble converting poles to square feet,square meters to and from archaic measurements such as poles,perch and rods.   
such as various plot size threads.

The first of your links doesn't cover area at all, and the second one refers only to a perch rather than a pole or rod.

I suggest that these links are more likely to confuse people still further rather than enlighten them.
