Yes he could, and by walking on one plot and then on another, sharing equipment etc.
With strict rotation and good growing methods- growing on good strong plants before plant out, use of lime at right time, you can still grow them

The best answer is to grow your own from your own seeds. Using your own compost

On our allotments several people have bought from garden centres then found that he bought plants have been infected

The compost from garden centres is from wheely bins and lot of people think that by putting their infected  stuff in it.The heat will get rid of infection.

Dream on.

Buy..................if you have to from pure stock. Certainly it costs more. Or grow your own usimng clean soil and manure. Can cost nothing.

It is like a religion this.Innit?

'Keep Your  Soil  pure

I seem to be doing everything right I always use  clean potting compost every year  but have seen pictures in the forum  and was getting worried I don,t take plants of any one I grow to many and always share them out I am wondering should I stop doing this. Iam old school I make sure everything is washed  and stowed away for the winter and rewashed before potting up Thanks for all your answers WORRIED :o :o

As a PS to Jim`s answer, it is illegal to treat the soil with Armillatox or Jeyes Fluid, for pest control. However, ;D, it would need to be done at least three months before planting. ;D ;D
