Title: Can sweet peppers and melons be grown together?

I am sorry if this has been covered on the site before but I am short on time.

Any reason why sweet peppers and melons can't be grown together?

I did the last two years and all was fine,the melons were only fist sized but i believe thats the case in an unheated greenhouse in the UK
