Title: Theiving B****rds
Post by: lottie lou on February 13, 2011, 16:26:30
Just read the Govermnment to help fund its "Big Society" is intending to seize more than £270 million from "dormant" bank accounts.  How is this going to work?  The last time I had my bank account seized was by the Halifax in the 1990s.  I received a letter telling me that as my account of £2.80 was dormant they were sequestering this for administration fees and if I wanted to keep my account open they required the sum of £20.  At the time I was under loads of financial pressures due to the recession and this was just one fight too many.  A few months later went to Halifax to try and get my money back but was informed by the snotty clerk that the account was closed.  As the above account had only been dorman for a few years what criteria of time are they going to use before seizing the money?  The banks claim to have contacted you but as I have found they very rarely do until the last moment/if at all.

Well I'm shocked at you Lottie, fancy using a word like that for a heading in the shed, They say words like that are used by lager louts and lowlifes. Go and stand on the naughty step and say 100 times:-

I better whip off to RBS quick and retrieve my £11...they closed my account without sending me a letter warning me first, I only got the letter saying it was now closed.
