Title: Original Garden Seeds Catalogue
Post by: lottiedolly on February 03, 2011, 10:09:17
Dear Betty (squash 64)

Is that a picture of your Tromba di Albenga squash on page 25 of their catalogue. I have to say, they are pretty large, how much did they weigh??

It is one of my photos, but it isn't Tromba!

I think it is Lunga Piena di Napoli.  I grew it a couple of years ago but apart from the size, I wasn't impressed.  It was quite watery and I like 'dry' squash.  I think it weighed about 60 pounds.

ooh they labelled it as Tromaba.

What do you think of the quality of seeds, are they a good company??

I've never had any problems with their seeds..  ??? Surprised if they are wrongly ascribing photo's though...

I've always found their seeds good, often large packets with lots of seeds. Delivery is usually fairy prompt too.

The seeds were fine.  There must have been a mix-up over the photo.

We had a gcse textbook once where the ascriptions had been reversed from the photos... and most of the pupils didn't realise until you pointed it out...  :-X
