Title: planting carrots in greenhouse.

i would like to know if i could have any success by planting carrots now in the greenhouse in polystyrene boxes that are 3ft x 1ft x 1ft, would they germinate is there enough light at the moment etc etc.

Probably.. especially if you used an early variety like Nantes Fruhbund(?)...  :)

it works for me.

your best bet is to start them off indoors, and then move them into the cold greenhouse after they have germinated. Carrots are a bit slow to germinate in the cold

think it would depend on your location cos if too cold they won't do well, be patient  8)
