Title: What should I be thinking of starting to sow?
Post by: David P on January 31, 2011, 00:39:19
Hello all

I was just wondering if there are any plants that I should be thinking of sowing around this time?  I've always liked the cottage garden look but now have a young daughter so my foxgloves are going to have to go but any ideas on what I should be sowing now would be great.

In my propagator i have echinacea, heleniums, violas, larkspur, sunflowers and sweet peas.

Mkae sure everything you so now is hardy then they can be planted out as soon as they are large enough. wait to sow half hardies until march.
good luck lots of great seeds at the shops like netto/aldi/lidl/wilkinsons at the moment so you dont have to spend a lot
