Post by: kt. on January 29, 2011, 09:23:04
T&M website sat their spud delivery can be as late as May?  I am after a particular variety and would like to order but not if it is to be delivered May.  Whats the latest  you have had T&M spuds delivered?

I think people were complaining last year that they came to late for planting.

That does sound odd. But there was an old gardener on my last site who said he thought it was as good to plant them late, because they caught up faster, with the warmth and sunshine.

However, I wouldn't feel happy getting seed potatoes in May, especially if they were meant to be earlies!

I would google for another supplier if you're worried about delivery times.

T&M do seem a bit awkward to deal with nowadays. I always use smaller concerns, keep the money with the little, more enthusiastic people  8)

I hadn't thought of that. I set out my potatoes to chit today, from Kings, and they were enormous! More like baking spuds than seed potatoes! I might cut one or two of them and see how they get on.
