Title: Seeds germinated already
Post by: allaboutliverpool on January 12, 2011, 19:25:39
Tomatoes and cauliflowers have germinated 3 days after sowing in my new huge propagator with led propagating lights that I have added.

It almost feels like Spring!

Very good. Where did you get your light kit from?

The lights came from

GrowLightsLED.co.uk

The 2 squares use minimal power and produce virtually no heat so are cheap to run.

I made the holder myself with wood from B&Q, including the chains it cost about £8. The lights cost £60.

They are red and blue LEDs that it is claimed are the correct spectrum for vegetative growth.

Chains are not necessary as tape versions are included with each light.

Great set up BTW  :)

Yes, your set up looks really good..but you have to be careful that your neighbours don't think that you are up to something illegal..lights, heater, propagator, conservatory, something growing in warm environment.. :-X ;)
Police is known to knock people doors with even less reason for it :o
