Thought that the kids would enjoy making a couple of scarecrows for the lottie or the garden this year and just wondered if other people might like to give it a whirl and show of their artistic statues. Could have a bit in the show section if peeps are up for it, like the pumpkin carving........ :-\
Don't see why not EJ.
Have been thinking about making a scarecrow with my littluns.
Well, when it warms up a bit!
At last a good use for small children!. Mind the NSPCC might not approve and you would have to be very careful about where you put the sticks! :D :D :D
There is a village, Wrenbury in Cheshire, near here which holds a Scarecrow Competion every year which raises a large sum of money for local charities. There is an organised walk round the various exhibits and people vote for the one they like the best. Some of them are exceedingly artistic creations.
ha ha!
I'll get someone to take a photo of me on the lottie ;)
Little daughter has been busy building 'scarecrows' -or perhaps 'scaregits' to keep the baddies/vandals off our plot. They're not going to win any prizes, though I think they've a place in the Tate Modern.
Jeremy
Hey Jeremy, that ain't a bad idea, you got me thinking (that could be dangerous) remember those police car and policeman cardboard cut outs they planted on the motorway bridges, food for thought, could fool em for a while. ;D where's my jigsaw? ??? ;D
