Title: Shallots
Post by: Chaz Hunter on January 08, 2005, 11:38:28
I have about 50 spare shallots from last years harvest, is it possible to grow a new crop from them? I'm sure that an old relative of mine used to do it but I've never tried myself.
(Yes, I'm back in the lottie business for this year, I'd abandoned my plot last summer but have decided to take it on again!)

Hello Chaz,
Glad to here you got lottie back, where in Tamworth are yours, because mine are in Tamworth and touch wood l have no trouble with them. To answer your question yes you can grow shallots from last years harvest. Hope you have better luck this year with your lottie.

Thanks Richard, my plot is in Dumolos Lane (near to Torc High School) Glascote Heath, only about 20% of the plots are taken there.
