hi everyone,anyone out there,know how to make rum butter,a request from my wife lynda,thank you,

If it's the stuff for xmas puddings (I prefer brandy myself) then something like this recipe from the net -but I think it's pretty near what I did.


3 oz butter
3 oz icing sugar
3 tablespoons rum

Rum Butter: Beat butter and sugar together in a warmed bowl. Slowly
add rum beating all the time. Chill thoroughly before serving.

Although I think I used caster -depends how smooth you want it really. I use unsalted butter. Add the rum really slowly or it will seperate.

I always use soft brown sugar in my brandy/rum butter, I like the caramel taste it gives!

thaks for your hep for rum butter,my wife as now made some and very nice it is as well,made with brandy,wish i could share it with you, :D :D :D
