Hi, I know there are a few allotmenteers / growers on here from N.Ireland, how are you coping with the water shortage, I've seem the queues of people lining the streets waiting for water on the TV, I find it unbelievable this day and age this could happen. :( I took notice this morning of what I used.
A quick hands and face wash to wake up
Flushed the toilet
Washed hands
Filled the kettle
A bit of washing up
Washed hands after putting out the rubbish
Washed jam off my hands
Kids flushed the toilet
Washed hands
Its only ten o clock and have the rest of the day ahead of us, I'm sure everyone on here is thinking about you. :) :) :)
Yes I am sure we all feel for you that are affected.
I was in our caravan at the time of the Tewkesbury floods and you could not use mains water as it was polluted,we had to rely on bottled water that was handed out free.
Never been so glad of a baby wipe as as soon as the roads were open we were glad to return home.
Very hard without mains water.
Just heard a bit on the car radio on the way back from the lotty, the water company over in NI are telling home owners to check their properties for water leaks, same old story if it is on your property its your problem, all the same I think it is a disgrace to leave our own in this position :)
The ultimate disgrace for the Irish Water Company has to be the importation of 150,000 litres of bottled water from Scotland. :o
Good post Kev. It's unbelievable, I really hope you get the mains back on soon.
Winter's not over yet. Could happen all again in afew weeks :-[
