Title: Sea shells
Post by: Lady Cosmos on January 06, 2005, 00:05:23
I wonder if the salt contents of sea shells ( use as a mulch) would harm the plants /veg?
Are sea shells almost pure calcium carbonate?

There was a question about this not too long ago on another forum.  Someone used seashells as paths and as a mulch.  Dont think there would be too much of a problem of salt leeching into the soil. No worse than using seaweed as a mulch.
