Remember a while ago Grannyjanny got me some net from Ikea so that I could make covers for the currant bushes well heres the first one modelled by Tony ;I have used the toggles and cord from some cheap ones that got torn

They're doing up loads of local authority homes round here because of the Olympics, ans I've got my eye on some of their debris netting when the building work has finished - it usually gets chucked away, but you have to be quick ;D
Our Tone looks like an Irish muslim Shirl. ;D ;D ;D ;)
Looks good Shirl, are those strings at the bottom to gather it around the stem?
Yes I took the cord and toggles from another crap fleece one and encased them top and bottom for easy access. The aphids got all my blackcurrants last year and the year before so as soon as the bees have done their job then on go the covers.
Cheers Shirl, I'm thinking that design would work well on gooseberries :)
I havent had to use any netting on the gooseberries since Ive been putting the rhubarb leaves underneath the plants. (another tip from an A4Aer)
