Title: salt
Post by: jimtheworzel on December 22, 2010, 18:23:17
local councils have ordered less road salt with 1.48 million tonnes in 2010/11 compared with just under 1.51 million tonnes in 2009/10.

A report added that 75 of the 205 UK councils surveyed had not received all of this year's road salt order.

its no wonder we are in the sh/t         ???

Well, we seem to be doing OK.  Lots of snow and frost, but roads kept passable.

No problems with shopping locally.

More media hype - more stocks will be on their way, the figures relate to what has already been stockpiled not what has been ordered, a subtle difference which makes for good headlines .
