Title: Bird Boxes
Post by: Mr Smith on December 22, 2010, 15:52:20

Having had a couple of bird boxes up at home for the last five years with no success I'm taking them down to the lotty, we have most garden and wild birds down there I believe placing the boxes two metres high facing between North and South East, would this be about right, Bird experts please, :)

The RSPB's webpage Siting a nestbox should be helpful -

Forgot about the RSPB, but will take the advice they give on positioning of the box, :)

Position should be OK as long as they are not facing into the sun or the prevailing wind and rain.
