I know I should have expected it after my experience last winter, but I need to let off steam about the devastation that I found on going to my plot for the first time since the snow today. Cabbages stripped and chewed down to less than half left, leeks with an inch or so of leaf left, even a parsnip chewed where it was showing above ground.
My own fault for not putting up any protection, I know, but I am really fed up. >:( :(
Can you not trap them and get your own back... :-X
I know how dis-heartening it can be. We don't get rabbits on our site but as a child we got cattle and sheep in the garden and they ate everything... :'(
We had a rabbit on the site for a few months some years back, and it wiped out my parsnips. I know how you feel!
Trap 'em and eat 'em. Perfect revenge!!
They are the bane of our allotment, get in from the adjacent cemetery
Get a dog.
Ours loves rabbits but can't eat a full one. That is not a joke. It is true.
The little devils can jump quite high and burrow under fences. The babies can get through quite small gaps.
It is possible to buy rabbit traps but be careful, people have been done for cruelty for using traps.
