A nice gardening knife and some dry days so that I can get digging on 2nd plot :-)
We usually buy ourselves a joint pressie. This year we have had some wall and table lamps for the lounge .Tee Gee's vegetable book, so that I can look at stuff to do whilst at the plot instead of having to wait until I get to his web site online. Tones had a crown for his front tooth ;D. ..We will probably think of something else we need during the next few weeks.

Not very well posted on my part, but ya know what I mean Arry, :)
Ours is going to be a beehive (and bees) just found out that from next year we are allowed them on our plots! Hi everyone, been gone for a while, but i am back!!!!!
Trying to talk the OH in to allowing chickens in the garden but not doing well at the minute, he wants a dog and is trying to get round it by asking my 2 year old to ask me for one!
negotiate!! one dog = chickens, it works we have 3 dogs and have until recently kept chickens for 16 years!
Chickens would be a wonderful pressy. I have 6 so can't ask for any more. Highly amusing & educational, especialy for a 2 yera old ;) ;D.

Oh I really thought it was some sort of specially commissioned piece of art. It sounded rather unusual!
Does anyone want to commission one of these? I could have a stab at it, it could make someone's Christmas.
Why not try to do what has been done for years before the shops stopped us from doing it.
MAKE SOMETHING FOR A CHANGE.
I did and the missus went for it. She is a happy bunnie too.
I have made a few hives for the farmer in return for some xmas meat.
I'm having a pair of toggi wander plus wellies. They are lovely and you can walk around all day without sore feet but £60! i had my last pair from work and have been holding off becuase cant countenance spedning that much on wellies but this year yippee prezzie from m&d.

ps its female hares fighting off unsuitable suitors not males fighting each other. :)
OH is getting a rear cross member for his series one land rover ;D
Mum, dad and sis are buying us a new dinner service 8)
I use the ebay sidebar method for pressie ideas as we share the same one.
I'd really love membership of the Heritage Seed Library, and I did sort of hint about it. I thought people might be able to club together. But I won't get it anyway.
In my experience, people always ask what you want, and whatever you say, they buy gloves.
I also asked my mum to knit me a square for holding the kettle or hot pan handles - but that's not for the allotment, obv.
I agree, landimad, hand-made presents are very special and flattering. But perhaps many of us are time-poor nowadays, and poor people in the developing world can make us sparkly objects but they can't give us more time.
The best Christmas present for me is to be give green fingers and a grrrrrrrreat summer and massive harvest
Noted.
We'll still just get you gloves though.
But they`ll have green fingers. Unless you have mittens.lol
My folks have got me a mahussive soil warming cable with thermostat and a 16A outdoor socket kit (with RCD) so that I can stick a power point somewhere to power it....
I know this cos I tracked them down on ebay, and thanks to my awesome skillz (and the slightly bad listings) what should be about 250 quids worth cost 40..... I reckon that cable should be able to put a decent amount of heat into a bed 3 feet by 8.... now I need an equally huge propagator lid..... Should make growing tomatoes and chillis easier this year....
