Hi,
I have a contact for the large 1000Ltr IBCs that can be used as water butts. Please PM me for Details. £50 each + delivery if no deliveries in that area at that time :-)
Adam
That's not a water butt...........that's a small lake :o
Just tried to visualise 12 of my 80 litre dustbins.
What are the rough dimensions - as not a bad price?
Where abouts in the UK are you? ah...just looked at your profile, Banbury, Oxon.
I can get those blue barrels you see on allotments for free...Im in Derbyshire :)
A friend of mine has one of these and it's brilliant for collecting water over the winter!

its whats known as an IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) - its sitting on a pallet 1.2m x 1.2m, and is 1 m high. Its 1 cubic metre and weighs 1 metric tonne when full of water
Its an all in one lesson in metric units..........
Sorry, haven't updated my details. I'm in Trunch, North Norfolk. Guy who delivered was delayed around Lincoln way. I can give number out via pm. Don't want to give it full advertisement

Oh yes, its chaos in Lincoln at the moment, there roadworks all over, and at least two major roads closed or restricted for weeks
Juts dont even try driving anywhere near Lincoln. Newark is about as close as you want to get.
Srsly..
One tip of using those IBC's is to paint them or board them in to stop too much algae growth.
I very kind person gave me a blue barrel but I want another couple where can you get them for free? What kind of business uses them?
I like the sound of a cubic tonne of water I would quite like one that size in the garden. J have two 190 litre ones at the mo but they are nowhere near big enough.
The other way of getting rid of algae is barley straw.
We get them too Fork... :)
We have one that we paid £30 for but our site had a bulk load. Tony is in the process of making a black polythene cover for it.
We sell them for £5 each to plotholders. They have had some sort of chemical in them but once they are washed out they are no problem. We cut the tops off before we sell them.
One chap has painted his in a camoflage pattern, it looks quite good.
Lots of availability but where do you get them from please?
we get them from patak's, they smell of lime pickle and mango chutney ;D
