Title: Funny November!
Post by: Grandma on November 06, 2010, 12:59:58
Just been out in the garden to feed my fish. I put the thermometer on the bench by my side and it read 28°C!  OK, it was in the sun but so was I! No wonder strange things are happening! Just took these snaps...

(Oriental poppy in bud - some delphiniums are budding, too!)

And more berries than I've ever seen on the pyracanthas!

It's a funny November!

Flowers on apple tree, raspberries ripening (strawberry flowers blackened by the heavy frost 3 weeks ago).

Had my second picling of winter kale today.  Didn't plant the plug plants until 28th August and thought they'd be ready in January.
