Title: What's that smell?
Post by: lorna on November 05, 2010, 23:03:16
Today I picked up a load of horse manure (in bags) supplied by my grandson's partners horse. Her Dad kindly loaded it for me. By the time I got home it was raining and as I had my hair done this morning I have left it. I guess there will be a nice aroma in the morning when I open the car doors!!

Depends how fresh it is Lorna. I pick up sacks of well-rotted farmyard manure in my vehicle every year in October/November and it doesn't smell at all.

Horse Poo does not smell as bad as other things so don't fret. A quick run round the block with the window a bit open will soon clear the air.........After you off load the cargo....

Well it is still in the back of the car, ( due to unforeseen circumstances :)) will definitely unload in the morning. Then have a run in to town, with the windows open!! It is in the dog's area of the car but she is in kennels until Tuesday. I have an appointment at Addenbrookes hospital tomorrow but fortunately my son is taking me.
